It is with a heavy heart that I post this message. Drew's grandfather did not make it through the day. Unfortunately, the damage from the heart attack was much worse than the doctors initially thought. He passed away late Tuesday afternoon. Members of his family and his preacher were with him. I have to admit I'm having a hard time processing the fact that he's really gone. His health has declined in the past year, but it's still hard to imagine future holidays and family gatherings without him. It's late and it's been a long day and my emotions have been up and down throughout the day. Please continue to pray for the Parkman family as they deal with the loss of their father, grandfather and great grandfather. Most of all pray for Motsie, she was David's bride for over 55 years. I know she will miss her best friend and husband.

I was just checking your blog to leave you a message to ask how Drew's grandfather was doing and I was a bit shocked to see this entry.....I am so sorry.....I will say a prayer for everyone!!
ReplyDeleteThanks for checking on him. I was shocked, too! The day started out as "well watch him closely" then quickly escalated to "we're not sure if he'll make it through the night." And infact, he didn't make it through the afternoon. It all happened so fast. He was an awesome man and I have no doubt he is with Jesus. He was His faithful follwer for many, many years. He lived 84 long years and left a wonderful legacy for us here on earth.
ReplyDeleteThanks for your kind words.
I love reading your comments! Leave a note to let me know what you think.
