Happy New Year!
10:06 AMHappy 2012, everyone! I hope the year is off to a good start. So far, mine is going well. I'm back at work after having 13 days off. It was a great vacation and I am a little surprised that I wasn't too sad about starting back to work. I mean, sure, I could take another day or two, but we had a wonderful break and now it's time to jump head first into 2012! We spent lots of time around the house, stayed in our pjs for way too many hours each day and enjoyed having no schedule. But after almost two weeks, I am craving a little structure. And here we are.
We broke from our usual tradition of ringing in the New Year at the Annual Tater House Party. We decided instead of getting a babysitter, we'd spend New Year's Eve with Libby. Our friends, the Flournoys, hosted a family-friendly party which included a bonfire, games, football games on the big screen and fireworks.
To be honest, Libby really, really didn't like the sound of fireworks. So she walked around for most of the night like this. But she never lost her cool or cried, so we were proud of her.

Did you make any resolutions this year? I haven't committed to anything yet. Maybe I should get around to that?
Here's to a great 2012! I pray that God continues to bless our family with good health and good relationships. Pretty simple, but huge!
