Thanksgiving Season

8:45 AM

We had a busy Thanksgiving week. We started eating celebrating Tuesday and ate our way through Thursday night. It was nice to slow down and spend time with the ones we love. Here's a recap of our Thanksgiving festivities...

Actually, allow me to back up to last Friday. Our Sunday School class got together to assemble Thanksgiving dinners for our food bank at church. It was nice to pull together and do something for others. I don't which families needed the food, but I hope they were able to enjoy the holiday with their loved ones and a good meal.

Tuesday night, we ate with my parents. The star of the night (besides my child) was a HoneyBaked Ham. Mmmmm!

Libby loves to get thrown off "the horsey". Papa is so funny!

Thanksgiving day we gathered with a big group of the Parkman family. The food was plentiful and Libby enjoyed playing with her cousins Elizabeth and Charles.

After a few hours break and a nap for Libby, we headed to Marvyn, AL for dinner with the Ingram side of the family. Once again we ate (too much) good food! Libby enjoyed visiting with the family.

All of those activities alone would have been enough to wear most anyone out, but thanks to Cousin Hunter, my Thanksgiving week had one more surprise...a trip to the Iron Bowl! Hunter was gracious enough (after some arm twisting!) to take me to the game with him.

Kick offAnother surprise - I got to meet up with Daryn, one of my college roommates, during the game. It was great to see her!

A shot of the Alabama section from my seats. Yes, I was right, smack in-the-middle of the Auburn section. Good for me in the end, however, a little uncomfortable as we trailed most of the game. Thankfully, the Tide pulled themselves together and were able to win and maintain their perfect season. Roll Tide!

It was a busy, tiring and fun week/weekend. Over and over I was thankful for all that God has blessed me with. I hope you, too, enjoyed your Thanksgiving holiday.
