Fantasy in Lights

12:00 PM

Last week Mimi and Papa took us to enjoy Fantasy in Lights at Callaway Gardens. If you're not familiar with this, it's a massive display of Christmas lights (8 million to be exact) and decorations put on each year - one of the biggest in the southeast.

This was Libby's first trip through the lights display. Well, I did ride through when I was pregnant with her, but I don't think that really counts.

We chose to ride a trolley. Mimi thought it would give Libby the real experience of the beautiful lights. She was right, Libby was hooked! It just so happened that it was freezing the night we went. So we had to bundled up to enjoy the open-air ride.

She really enjoyed it! She was so in to the lights that she never really noticed how cold it was.

Thanks, Mimi and Papa for a night of Christmas fun! If you live or will be visiting anywhere within traveling distance of Pine Mountain, GA, make plans to attend!

And I can't sign off this post without giving a big cheer for my Alma mater, The University of Alabama. They are headed to the BCS Championship game in New Orleans in January! I want to go! My husband looked for tickets last night just to quiet me down. Then he announced, "You can't afford to go - tickets are $1200 each!" He has a point. Santa, if you read this blog, one ticket is all I need! Roll Tide!
