It's Race Week...

12:37 PM

Hi friends! Guess what? The time for my big race is finally here. But not only is it race week, it's SACS (Southern Association of Colleges and Schools) on-site reaffirmation visit {happens every ten years} at my college and the week Libby will be getting tubes. {Exhale!} I'm anxious just thinking about it all.

So if I can get over the two big hurdles - college visit and Libby's procedure - I will get to hit the road to Panama City Beach for our half marathon.

We've completed all of our training (I still have one more two-mile run this week) and we're as ready as we're going to be. Now comes the rituals leading up to Saturday like drinking tons of water, eating pasta Thursday night and protein Friday night.

If you will, please pray for safe travels down to Florida and back and also for an injury-free and solid race. I've told you I don't aim to be the fastest, just a completer. Thank you for all of the support and excitement over the last three months. I'm ready to do this!

And before I sign off, I must share with you my precious girls. We bought lots of pumpkins this weekend (Libby's request) and we're welcoming fall with open arms.

We love pumpkins!

Have a great week!
